2015 Gifts for Tea Lovers & A Giveaway!

1. Teabox’s 12 Days of Christmas

Tell me this isn’t the cutest way for a tea lover to countdown the last days ’till Christmas. I love the beautiful packaging here, but what I love even more are the sophisticated set of teas found inside. Teabox ships best quality Indian teas from its tea estate direct from Darjeeling. This set includes 12 of Teabox’s signature handcrafted holiday blends. Use coupon code HOLIDAY20 to get a discount on any of Teabox’s Holiday Gifts. (Photo courtesy of Teabox.)

2. Feet Tea

Tea for your feet? Yes, you heard it right! This clever brand specializes in refreshing foot soaks to pamper those tired, sore feet. The shop’s owner, Josie Song, was recently named one of the finalists in Martha Stewart’s American Made Awards. Josie has generously created the coupon code HOLIDAYFEET for readers at Thirsty for Tea. The code will give you 10% off your order at Feet Tea on Etsy.

3. Ladurée’s Opoponax Home Fragrance Ladurée is world-renowned for its macarons and teas, but did you know that they also carry a gorgeous line of products for the home? Here in the US, it’s harder to get our hands on some of these luxurious goodies, but luckily their newest line of home fragrance is available to us! Opoponax is rich with the scent of lemon, bergamot, orange, and lavender. For those of us in the US, you can order Opoponax and other Ladurée accessories by contacting their store in NYC directly. (Photo courtesy of Ladurée.)

4. Origins’ A Perfect World Antioxidant MoisturizerGreen tea is often praised for it’s antioxidant benefits, but it’s actually white tea that has even more of the good stuff. Since discovering A Perfect World earlier this year, it has become my go-to daily moisturizer, amazingly effective during these cold months when skin literally needs a thirst quencher. The cream has an almost mojito-like scent that’s fresh and bright.

5. Ulster Weavers’ Cottage Knitted Tea Cozy

I have more teapots than I can count, yet absolutely no tea cozies until I came across this one. Love at first sight…I mean, look at it! Ulster Weavers is based out of Holywood, Northern Ireland (that’s Holywood, not Hollywood). The company holds a Royal Warrant, which means that it supplies textiles to the British Royal Family. For just $22 on Amazon they can supply this adorable tea cozy for you too!

6. Aerolatte Cappuccino ArtCappuccino really doesn’t deserve air time on this site, but for these latte stencils I had to make an exception. After finally getting my frothing technique down, it’s time to graduate to latte art! This is a set of 6 stencils, with my favorite designs being the winking emoji and of course, the classic tea leaf! These are a welcomed gift for anyone who loves to make matcha lattes.

7. Malebranche’s Cha No Ka Cookies

And while we’re on the topic of matcha, how about some matcha cookies? It’s almost an insult to call these simply cookies, because they’re actually Langue de Chat, otherwise known as the best giftable green tea confection around. These are made from okoicha (strong matcha green tea) from tea leaves in Uji-Shirakawa in Kyoto. I especially love the Japanese character for tea (cha) marked onto the surface of the delicacies…almost to pretty to eat!

8. Teforia

Teforia_Infuser_Kitchen_ScanningTeforia is where tea meets the word modern. This is definitely not the way granny used to make her tea. This simple and elegant tea brewer has 3 main components: the infuser, the Teforia phone app, and single origin tea pods. If you’d like to know more about how Teaforia works, please check out my tea friend, Georgia’s post about Teforia on her awesome blog, Notes on Tea. Her post includes an interview with Allen Han, the founder of Teforia. (Photo courtesy of Teforia.)

9. Dammann Frères Tea @ Williams-Sonoma

I went shopping on Black Friday to discover Dammann Frères being sold at Williams-Sonoma! For lovers of French tea in the US, this is a big treat. For the longest time, I was only able to try more of Dammann teas through my French tea pal, Ula who would send me samples. What really caught my eye was the Chorus Large Tea Box, with 18 varieties of Dammann tea all packaged into a beautiful lacquered box.

10. Watercolor Art by Laura Row (click on photo to enlarge)

I’ve saved the best for last. I found talented watercolor artist Laura Row on Etsy earlier this year, where I noticed her beautiful blue and white Chinoiserie and Ladurée Macaron Menu (you can even get this in a silk scarf!) paintings. I asked her to recreate my blog header photo in watercolor, and here is the stunning result!
