Autumn Tea Party Ideas & A Giveaway!

Today, I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Balsam Hill and 5 other talented bloggers to bring you the Let’s Give Thanks Campaign. During the next few days, we’ll each be sharing our best ideas for setting a beautiful fall table. Here at Thirsty for Tea, we’re talking about autumn tea tables–elegant, simple, and most importantly…cozy! Balsam Hill’s wreaths are so perfect for sprucing up any table space. In this Mid-Autumn Tea, wreaths are not only used to decorate a wall, but also to highlight the food (here, a Pumpkin Cake with Chai Tea Icing!).

Hors d’oeuvre-like tea buffets allow guests to casually nibble and sip to their heart’s content. A pedestal placed on the table in the middle of a Fall Berry Wreath gives the space a feeling of bounty, and make whatever you’re serving on it the star of the show.Adorable Glass Pumpkin Candle Holders add light and warmth to the tabletop. Filled with a chai tea potpourri, each gives off a deliciously spicy scent against the tea lights’ ambient heat.

A whimsical Wildflower Prairie Wreath hung behind the table helps to evoke a sense of natural simplicity, while a homemade teacup garland shows off your best fall-themed china pieces. As guests arrive, the cups can be removed from the hooks and filled with freshly brewed steeps. For a rustic look, sweets and savories are placed on a grand Tuscan 2-Tier Entertaining Stand.

Mid-Autumn Tea Party Menu

One-Bite Cinnamon Nutmeg Scones with Pumpkin Butter

Thyme Mushroom Tartlets

Turkey Cranberry Tea Sandwiches

Pumpkin Cake with Chai Tea Icing

French Macarons

Perfectly Pear White Tea

Pumpkin Spice Rooibos (caffeine-free)

Here’s another Autumn Tea Party idea, this time one that heralds the coming of Christmas. In this set-up, I’ve placed teapots with warmers in the middle of two 18″ Heritage Spice Christmas Wreaths. The warmers help to prop the teapots up while keeping the brews nice and warm. It’s important to remove the tea leaves after their appropriate steep time so that the tea doesn’t over-brew and become too strong.

It’s always a good idea to have caffeine-free options for guests, so here I have both an apple pie chai and a cranberry-hibiscus herbal brew. If you’re planning a tasting with many teas, you could even feature a different style wreath for each different type of tea. Miracle Flame Pillar Candles with Golden Candle Holders add height and texture to the table, while a matching Heritage Spice Garland creates a frame for the space. The mix of real and artificial fruits and florals makes for an easy and attractive decorating job. And just like that–it’s time for an Autumn Tea Party!!

Oh my. LOVE your blog! And I can’t wait to host a tea party. I could also spend a fortune at Balsam Hill but really love the glass pumpkin candle holders.

Cindy D.

Balsam Hill definitely knows how to recreate. I’m torn between the Fall berry wreath and the trio of pillar candles. They’re all so lovely. And I’m glad I found you. I’m adding my name to your blog list. Thank you. <3

Liberty Double-Walled Autumn Collection – would be perfect to use during holiday parties!

Aging Ophelia

Such pretty ideas, and delicious ones, for the teas. I have to say, I am enamored of Balsam Hill’s Fall Pumpkin Candle Holders– I’d happily use them all over the house. Especially if I had a tea similar to the first one pictured above, with the sweet-looking Wreathed Tea Cake. I’m sure I’ll be trying at least a few of these recipes in the near future– thanks!

Kelly Massman

Everything is so bright and cheery. Love your use of decor! Thanks for the chance to win

Sarah Burrill

My mum was English, and I was born and raised in the UK; so I found all of these themes so very traditionally Brit in their presentation. I loved the red berries, wildflower wreaths, finger sandwiches and the teapots, of course ! Thanks for a lovely trip down memory lane!

Carol Deatrick

I loved the Tuscan 2-tier entertainment stand!!! In the tea party tablescapes, this tiered serving piece really stood out as a beautiful, versatile piece for all seasons.

The wreath is stunning! Perfect for Thanksgiving. That pumpkin candle holder and the 2-tier stand are also lovely! Such a beautiful post!

Oh Bonnie, I am soooooo glad to have found you (through Courney’s blog.) Your tablescapes are incredible – and the way you’ve used the stunning Balsam Hill products make them perfect in every way!

I *adore* the way you’ve strewn tea cups into your garland – tea things are my favorite thing – so I am your newest follower!

As far as Balsam Hill – it’s nearly impossible for me to pick a favorite, but I would say their Wildflower Prairie Wreath is about the most beautiful autumn wreath I’ve ever seen. And I have seen a lot in my years, haha. I should be delighted to win any single thing ever from that company. (Dream come true stuff there.) Thank you for the opportunity.

I think the Give Thanks Tabletop Turkey is my favorite thing from this year’s Balsam Hill collection.

Laura Harrie

Love the flower detail in the Wildflower Prairie Wreath! Beautiful colors in every flower! I want one for my house!

What a lovely setting for tea! Everything is so warm and inviting. Also, I wish the Internet had smellavision so I could inhale the aromas from the food, which looks enticingly good.

My favorites are the wreaths. As soon as I saw the Heritage Spice Wreath, the aroma of apples came over me. And when I saw the Wildflower Prairie Wreath, I expected to see some butterflies, beas, and hummingbirds to flitter by. My mother’s house has a pyracantha in her front yard, which attracts birds this time of the year. The Fall Berry Wreath reminds me of Mom’s.

Jennie Louie

Everything is so lovely. I have always looked forward to the Autumn season with the cooler weather and the holidays just around the corner. The items at Balsam Hill has definitely created the feel of the holidays. The Tuscan 2-Tier Stand would be an inviting rustic addition to any Thanksgiving table. Just lovely!

This wreath is my new favorite item!! But I’m looking at getting my first Balsam Hill tree this year, just can’t pick one!

Angela Hendricks

I was so hard to chose just one thing! I really loved eveything but I am in love with those lanterns! This is the item that I really liked.

Now that nice weather is here in FL the OUTDOOR WROUGHT IRON AND COPPER FIRE PIT SET looks awesome!

shirley emitt

Everything looks so welcoming. I really like the Outdoor LED Autumn Maple Tree.

Notes on Tea

I would like to have holiday afternoon tea at your house!
I checked out the Balsam Hill catalogue and really like the stemless etched wine glasses and the tabletop wine opener.
