Today, I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Balsam Hill and 5 other talented bloggers to bring you the Let’s Give Thanks Campaign. During the next few days, we’ll each be sharing our best ideas for setting a beautiful fall table. Here at Thirsty for Tea, we’re talking about autumn tea tables–elegant, simple, and most importantly…cozy!
Balsam Hill’s wreaths are so perfect for sprucing up any table space. In this Mid-Autumn Tea, wreaths are not only used to decorate a wall, but also to highlight the food (here, a Pumpkin Cake with Chai Tea Icing!).
Hors d’oeuvre-like tea buffets allow guests to casually nibble and sip to their heart’s content. A pedestal placed on the table in the middle of a Fall Berry Wreath gives the space a feeling of bounty, and make whatever you’re serving on it the star of the show.
Adorable Glass Pumpkin Candle Holders add light and warmth to the tabletop. Filled with a chai tea potpourri, each gives off a deliciously spicy scent against the tea lights’ ambient heat.
A whimsical Wildflower Prairie Wreath hung behind the table helps to evoke a sense of natural simplicity, while a homemade teacup garland shows off your best fall-themed china pieces. As guests arrive, the cups can be removed from the hooks and filled with freshly brewed steeps. For a rustic look, sweets and savories are placed on a grand Tuscan 2-Tier Entertaining Stand.

Here’s another Autumn Tea Party idea, this time one that heralds the coming of Christmas. In this set-up, I’ve placed teapots with warmers in the middle of two 18″ Heritage Spice Christmas Wreaths. The warmers help to prop the teapots up while keeping the brews nice and warm. It’s important to remove the tea leaves after their appropriate steep time so that the tea doesn’t over-brew and become too strong.
It’s always a good idea to have caffeine-free options for guests, so here I have both an apple pie chai and a cranberry-hibiscus herbal brew. If you’re planning a tasting with many teas, you could even feature a different style wreath for each different type of tea. Miracle Flame Pillar Candles with Golden Candle Holders add height and texture to the table, while a matching Heritage Spice Garland creates a frame for the space. The mix of real and artificial fruits and florals makes for an easy and attractive decorating job. And just like that–it’s time for an Autumn Tea Party!!
